Threads Face Lift |
|
What is
it?
Minimum
invasive surgical technique
using specialised surgical
threads, which are placed under
sagging soft tissues to pull
those up. Silhouette threads are
made of extra-strong inert
polymer and they have knots and
anchoring cones along their
length and attached to surgical
needles at both ends.
How is it
done?
Under local
anaesthetic injections - so
patient does not feel anything.
The site is marked where the
threads are going to go under
the skin. A little incision is
made at the temple area, the
tissue is undermined for few cm
and a small piece of special
fine mesh is put on the deep
fascia under the muscle. The
introducing needle is inserted
with the thread being pulled
under the tissues. The needle
comes out at the site on skin
marked as an exit. The thread is
cut at the level of skin. This
is repeated with few other
threads till the area of
intended pull is covered. The
other ends of the threads are
pulled and tied up on the mesh.
The knots and anchoring cones
help to hold the soft tissues
up. Skin is then closed with
stitches.
How does
it work?
The threads
pull up sagging skin, scar
tissue around the threads also
help to firm up skin.
For how
long does the effect of the
Silhouette thread lift lasts?
Nothing can
stop ageing clock but Silhouette
thread lift can revert the time
and give effect for 5-7 years.
It is now
possible to correct wrinkles
without surgical intervention,
thanks to the tensor threads,
which are introduced under the
skin correcting flaccidity and
rejuvenating the face. This
procedure does not require
admission to hospital; it is
done under local anaesthesia and
has an immediate effect.
It is a
natural method, which corrects
the loss of facial expression,
and improves the facial features
by the lifting of the areas
altered by gravity, age,
exposure to the sun, etc.
The
Threads
Also called
Gold Threads, Russian Threads,
Rumanian Threads, etc, these are
polypropylene threads
manufactured with barbs, which
will serve as anchoring (basic
principle of the method)
There are
toothed colourless polypropylene
threads that are not reabsorbed
and there are also those that
can be reabsorbed.
They have an
immediate effect as a result of
the anchorage in the tissues
produced by the barbs, with the
consequent traction and lifting
produced in the tissues.
The
supporting threads are indicated
in patients aged between of 60
and 80, who have already had a
surgical lifting, as they
improve the expression and give
the opportunity of facial
rejuvenation without surgery.
After
examination the surgeon will
advise you about the best course
of action, considering your age
and skin type.
