PLASTIC AND COSMETIC
SURGERY > Arm lifting |
|
Brachioplasty, usually known as
lifting of the arms, is a
procedure used to eliminate
excess skin from the upper part
of the arms. As a consequence of
normal ageing or of fast weight
loss, the skin of the arms loses
elasticity. The lifting surgery
of the arms tenses and increases
the tone of the upper part of
the arms, giving them a youthful
contour.
Patients with
excess fat in the arms could
decide to undergo a liposuction
together with other cosmetic
procedures to achieve more
dramatic results. Many patients,
who previously felt ashamed of
wearing clothes that left the
arms uncovered or of lifting
them, report an increased
self-confidence after the
procedure. |
